Hey Gang! A few of your recently reported some issues on FireFox and Safari which lead us to discover a major flaw in how we had things set up.

THE PROBLEM

It's a little hard to explain but for both FireFox and Safari, the files that we included in the browser plugin were out of sync with each other. Basically every time we put out a new version of TubeBuddy, you'd get some of the new files and some of the old files which causing things to break (and caused new features not to show up).

THE SOLUTION

There is good news! We have identified the issue and have a new way to bundle ALL the files for Chrome, FireFox and Safari separately ensuring that they are all in sync with their respective browser.

FireFox: We have submitted a new version of FireFox to the Mozilla Plugin Directory (April 12th, 2017). Unfortunately it takes about 2+ weeks for them to review and accept it. There are currently 247 other browser extensions in line ahead of us. This is actually a downside of FireFox in general as far as TubeBuddy. If you use FireFox you are usually at least 2 weeks behind the Chrome browser users simply because the Chrome store immediately lets us publish new versions and Mozilla makes us wait anywhere from 3 days to 4 weeks until new versions are reviewed.

Safari: We have submitted a new version of FireFox to the Apple Safari Extension Store (APril 12th, 2017). Unfortunately it takes a few days for them to review and accept it. This is actually a downside of Safari similar to FireFox (just not as bad). In general as far as TubeBuddy - if you use Safari you are usually at least a few days behind the Chrome browser simply because the Chrome store immediately lets us publish new versions and Apple makes us wait anywhere from 2 days to 1 week until new versions are reviewed.

Thanks for all your patience while we figured this out. And feel free to report bugs or anything weird that you notice with TubeBuddy to us. We are aware that some FireFox users finds that TubeBuddy slows down their browser experience and we're looking into that. Actually these new changes might help.

Thanks!

Phil
